Planning: Costume

T-Shirt:

Option 1: The first costume will be a simple one that will meet the conventions of the genre but would also appeal to many others also. The T-shirt in the first costume will be a plain white t-shirt, this was chosen in order to show to the audience that this character isn't too extravagant and could suggest that his life is regular like others but his determination is leading him to other places. The white t-shirt is also a product that would be easily accessible and most candidate would own one. If not it wouldn't be too difficult to purchase and wouldn't be overly expensive. 

Option 2: The second costume will be very similar, just with a change to the t-shirt choice. The next costume will feature the artist wearing a woven shirt instead of a t-shirt. This will be used in order to make the costume slightly more formal then previous but also to follow the conventions closer. By using a shirt, the conventions of the genre are matched closer, although targeting a wider audience could be beneficial, I would prefer to target only the audience of my chosen genre and artist. The shirt still isn't overly extravagant but does show a bit more of the characters personality and style than white t shirt would. 

Coat:

This next item of clothing will follow on from the simple but meeting the genre idea. This will simply be a navy parka or trench coat that matches the conventions of the genre but is also again a generic piece of clothing that many people own. It is an item of clothing that I am aware my candidates own or that I be able to supply for them. The coat is also useful as it will match the setting of the filming. Due to the suspected climate at the time of filming, it would make sense for the actor to be wearing a coat. The basic colour scheme of the costume again shows that the artist is a regular person. 

Jeans:

This will again continue the same theme as previously. The artist will be wearing black skinny jeans as this will follow the conventions of the genre and will make the video look like it belongs within this genre. By using black jeans, it again keeps the colour scheme basic and also ties in with al the previous colours. The black jeans are a simplistic choice and should reflect the artist quite well. This is again useful in showing that the artist isn't an extravagant character but does have some style at the same time. 

Footwear:

The footwear will again be a simplistic choice. The choice of footwear is versatile and would match any costume changes that could happen along the day should this happen. The trainers I plan to use again meet the conventions of the genre and fit the colour scheme of the costume. This finishes off the costume well and again shows a generic but fashionable side to the artist.
